About
In early 2024, I decided to install a GNU/Linux system, and finally part ways with an entire life of Windows. While this on its own isn't worthy of a dedicated blog, I decided back then that I wanted to keep a diary of my journey. At the time, I'd only read longer posts from individuals who appeared to be seasoned experts. I figured the same thing from someone who's never even touched such a system, would provide a unique prospective—or at least, be entertaining.
From that initial idea, I continued to log various experiences I've had, and now, I have a huge diary that's just sitting on my computer. Instead of hiding it away, I want to share it, and this seems like the perfect way to do that! I intend to comb over every diary entry in order, make minor adjustments as needed, and reformat it for this blog. It'll take some time to get caught up, so check back every so often for new stories!
I currently maintain two blogs:
- Foxfire
- The GNU/Linux Diary <– You are here.
The other blog is dedicated to other stories or experiences I wish to write about, without any particular theme in mind. I make no promises for what the next post will be about, but I do promise I'll enjoy writing about it. Both blogs are also love letters to the void, as in, I have no expectations for anyone to read them. That being said, I still aim to provide a decent experience to folks who do wish to. If you're here, I hope you enjoy yourself, or perhaps become inspired to share some writings of your own!
